The Global Retail Risk Infrastructure Program Manager will be accountable for driving implementation of a world class, integrated set of capabilities adhering to the Citi strategic architecture in support of Retail Risk regulatory commitments as well as internal re-engineering objectives. The role directly supports the senior business sponsors, directly manages a team and also works with extended global team members across Risk, Finance, Technology, Operations as well as other partnering teams within the FRI function such as Data Services and Architecture.

The Global Retail Risk Infrastructure Program Manager is a member of the Finance and Risk Infrastructure (FRI) team, reporting to the head of the FRI Governance, Program & Project Management group and supporting the Retail Chief Risk Officer. The successful candidate will be accountable for driving implementation of a world class, integrated set of capabilities adhering to the Citi strategic architecture in support of Retail Risk regulatory commitments as well as internal re-engineering objectives. The role directly supports the senior Retail Risk business sponsors, directly manages a global team and also works with extended team members across Risk, Finance, Technology, Operations as well as other partnering teams within the FRI function such as Data Services and Architecture. In conjunction with the sponsors and key stakeholders, the lead will be accountable to ensure delivery is aligned to defined scope, approach, strategy and requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support business sponsors to establish strategic objectives with clear accountability and success criteria.

  • Source a global team of high performing project managers who will oversee program delivery.

  • Lead by influence a broader cross functional program team.

  • Drive delivery of existing, and where required, new programs focused primarily on Core Capability and MRA regulatory commitments.

  • Execute book of work to established objectives in a timely manner, on budget and within established program governance standards.

  • Manage annual program budget including creation of business cases, prioritization, and delivery within approved targets. Ensure efficient and effective use of program resources.

  • Lead the facilitation and arbitration across stakeholder teams.

  • Lead communications regarding progress with key internal and external stakeholders leveraging Retail Risk working group, Operating Committee and Steering Committee. Participate in partner Operating and Steering Committees as required.

  • Lead the proactive identification, escalation and resolution of key risks/issues within the programs.

  • Address potential barriers to progress before they impact critical path delivery.

  • Manage dependencies across overall Retail Risk book of work and Core Capability commitments.

  • Apply agreed common initiative management practices.

  • Manage interactions with Internal Audit and Regulators as required and ensure existing corrective actions are addressed in a timely manner.

  • The candidate must be able to work with teams as well as independently in a dynamic, fast paced environment. This role requires multi-tasking, organization and the ability to quickly acquire and comprehend the required knowledge to drive program delivery.

Qualifications

  • Overall 15 years of prior experience with 10+ years program/project management experience leading large scale global transformation/reengineering initiatives.

  • Strong background in Risk function with exposure to Consumer business strongly preferred.

  • Experience in process mapping and design a plus including demonstrated ability to drive utilization of standard data and processes.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to succinctly convey information to senior management. Demonstrated ability to facilitate communication with stakeholders across function and geography.

  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority items and influence key decision makers across various levels and functions within the organization.

  • Strong technical background including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint, Excel, Work, Project and Visio.

  • Excellent project planning and organizational skills including ability to lead a team towards delivery of plans across Risk, Finance, Technology, Operations, and global process owners.

  • Knowledge of Citi systems including GENESIS, RegInsight, Citi Insight, Pearl, Optima, CitiRisk, and GCBC would be preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
