About the role
The Cloud Pre Sales Senior Manager will work closely with a highly skilled pre sales team with varying backgrounds and skill levels. The main objectives are to create, maintain and develop a highly motivated and effective cloud pre sales team to support the growing cloud business. As an ongoing responsibility an interactive and close cooperation between the pre sales teams and the sales teams need to be managed. The demand in terms of support the sales teams need, must be matched by the services the pre sales team can provide. Furthermore, in a dynamic organisation, we are developing and improving constantly the cloud business model. The senior manager is instrumental in driving and supporting the business transformation, to become the number one cloud vendor in the world.
Manage a team of 10 experienced Cloud Pre Sales covering Oracle’s PAAS & IAAS portfolio; team based in Malaga and Dublin
Manage the relationship with various stakeholders
Ensure that the Sales Consulting team is providing optimal support for the Sales teams
Work closely with local Sales Management in order to contribute to sales revenue and pipeline development
Manage the correct resourcing of sales opportunities utilizing the wider ECO system in Oracle
Provide leadership for the Pre Sales Team in order to ensure that KPI’s are met
Provide strategic direction in order to ensure that the relevant sales targets are achieved
Conduct regular meetings with each of the Pre Sales team members to provide guidance on topics such as sales opportunity management or career guidance
To work with the Recruitment team and the Sales Academy teams to ensure that the team is fully staffed and trained
Work in deals with the teams where senior manager presence is required
Develop localized strategic initiatives in line with strategic business transformation Oracle
Provide reporting on the state of the business (forecast & business review)
A primary degree in a Business or IT related discipline
Customer facing experience
Experience with management of complex deals
Previous experience working as a People Manager is required in a Sales or Technical environment (5 – 10 years)
A previous role as Pre Sales and Pre Sales Manager is required
A proven track record in a B2B sales environment, preferably in Technology
Proven track record in Business Transformation
A working-knowledge of PAAS and IAAS solutions is required
Oracle background and or product knowledge is a plus
Regular over achievement of goals or targets in previous roles is expected
Native languages skills in French are mandatory for this position, combined with fluency in English

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As part of the Oracle sales team you will direct and manage internet pre-sales resources throughout the sales cycle. Provides technical/functional leadership to the sales team in the development and implementation of customer applications and customer products. Participates in account planning and strategy development. May publishes technical information of specific applications and/or technical articles. Works with management to define new products. Serves as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.
Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate business needs. Knowledge of software industry relating to all aspects of ebusiness solutions. Demonstrated leadership skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent.
